AFAC Food Drive
Gunston committed to donate 3000 pounds of food to AFAC (the Arlington Food Bank) this school year. We are almost there! 331 pounds left to go to meet our goal. Bring your food to the AFAC bins next to the library.

GUNSTON CARES IS OUR WEEK LONG BLITZ OF COMMUNITY SERVICE. CHECK OUT ALL THE GREAT PROJECTS YOU CAN HELP WITH!
DURING TA
6th Grade Penny WAR: Place pennies in collection boxes during TA or lunch to support the Animal Welfare League of Arlington
- collection boxes provided by the Gunston Girls for a Change Interact Club

place canned goods, peanut butter and cereal in the AFAC bins by the library
LLT Animal Supply Drive Bring in Clorox Wipes, Plain Copy Paper and Canned Cat Food to benefit the Animal Welfare League of Arlington

8th Grade is collecting change to benefit Heifer Project International - please give any donations to Ms. Jen Kelly or Ms. Rogers

Nails for Haiti
Paint your nails red for $1 at lunch – all proceeds go to Hornets for Haiti
Miles of Smiles - make a Valentine for an active duty soldier or for children at Children's Hospital
Pennies for Patients - donate a penny to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society
Kindness Cards- practice random acts of kindness and write a kind note to someone in the building - Gunston Cohort will make sure it is delivered
Ms. Swann and Ms. Klett's Health Information Fair on Thursday and Friday during 7th and 8th grade lunch

Gunston Cares Mural - join Ms. Rogers in painting the Gunston Cares mural - no painting experience necessary
Green Team Trail Clean up - Thursday, January 27 after school- join Ms. Chamorro and the Green Team as they clean up trash between Gunston and Oakridge -
